The San Francisco Quilters Guild was founded in 1981 by Caroline Lieberman, Anita Barber, Joanne Campbell, Judy Cauthen, Lorna Barish, Shirley Towan and Joanne Watson. More than 60 quilters joined the guild at its first meeting, on October 5, 1981, and were designated Charter Members; their names can be found here.
